Your Ceremonial Midwives

If you did not yet read The Darkness Before the Dawn, now is a good time to catch up!

It is time! The patriarchy has reached it’s end.

The Sacred Feminine is rising towards an equal partnership with the Sacred Masculine. And both are preparing to be in sacred partnership with our planet so we become aware of ourselves as intimate parts of the web or life, interdependent with the ecosystems that give us life.

Our planet has reached carrying capacity for human beings. There is no more need for women to be pre-occupied with excessive childbearing and rearing. It is time for us to unwrap the gifts left to us by our ancestors, those great-grandmothers who knew how to work with the natural world to generate nourishment for our bodies, minds and souls. It is time to reclaim the stories, songs, rituals, seeds and knowings preserved in our bones, our blood and in the earth.

As the feminine principle rises we learn to focus less on doing and more on being, we seek deepening rather than achieving. New qualities of intelligence are emerging as we embrace the process and relationship building alongside reaching new goals. Humans are being released from the old polarities of gender that have keep us limited into a fluidity of expression.

The Seasons of Womanhood 9-month program is a call for women - cis, trans, femme folk - to circle together in this great reclaiming, re-imagining and re-igniting of the feminine.

Gaia Figurine

Gaia Figurine

Denied and suppressed for thousands. of years, the goddess archetype returns at a time when the breakdown of the old story leaves us desperate for love, for security, for protection, for meaning.
It leaves us yearning for a nurturing and cultivation of our whole being, that we might be adequate stewards of the planetary culture.
— Jean Houston, PhD

Ultimately we are working with our planet, Gaia, to bring forth this rising of the feminine. Rites of Passage Council has brought together four human women as guides on this adventure.

We represent each of the four key women’s archetypes - Maiden, Mother, Matriarch and Crone.

Below is a brief introduction to each of us. We look forward to meeting you online at our next free webinar: The Seasons of Womanhood: The Archetypes

Kallie Brown

Kallie is a Rites of Passage guide, licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with a foundation in Expressive Arts therapy, and a trained birth Doula. Kallie brings both personal and professional experience to ROPC and has been immersed in ceremonial and rite of passage work for many years. She offers a blend of clinical knowledge, intuition, and nature-based wisdom in her work with others. It is through her own dark night of the soul that Kallie found herself being called to this work and her medicine as a wounded healer.

By day, she works with a team of passionate individuals, in a women’s addiction and trauma recovery treatment center. She believes deeply in honoring, through ceremony, the important transitions these women make in moving from a place of wounding and pain to healing and remembrance.

By night, she offers her services as birth Doula supporting mothers and their partners in bringing babies into this world. Her curiosities and passions of the heart continue to take her to many places across the world, but her home is in the Appalachian Mountains of Asheville, NC where she lives with her community of friends and family.

Teresa “Tree” Thomas

For over a decade, Tree has been diligently following the call of her heart deeper into the study of body-centered therapy and human spirituality. Teresa is a licensed massage therapist who weaves together neuromuscular, trigger-point, and medical massage knowledge with her intuitive practices.

Since 2017, Teresa has been following her own healing path into the realm of Sacred Sexuality. There she encountered the work of Amrita Grace and the AH Practice. It has evolved into a subtle, yet profound somatic healing modality that addresses all energy centers, while also allowing people the opportunity to remember their wholeness.

Kat Houghton PhD

Kat is a psychologist, certified transformational coach, a farmer and a rites of passage guide. She has been fascinated with the inner workings of human beings her whole life. Working with children with autism and their families allowed her to develop a huge capacity to hold space for intense emotion early in life. Growing up on a farm in Scotland ignited her love of the natural world. She loves to go deep into the human psyche and facilitate our surrender to the mystery.

Kat has also co-founded a health tech company and a non-profit working on establishing community rights and the just and equitable transition to renewable energy.

Elizabeth “Be” Brown

Be is a certified Holistic Life Coach, Occupational Therapist and Rites of Passage Guide. She believes in the healing power of nature, poetry, movement, rhythm and Spirit to show the way back home into remembering the Truth of who you are. Be has over 17 years of experience supporting others on their healing path toward their own remembering, shining a light on old ways of loving that have been long outgrown, illuminating core beliefs that block one’s access to the truth of their Highest Self. Be has completed trainings with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, Hakomi Psychotherapy Institute, and Reiki Masters. Be especially feels called to the healing process of grief work, ‘death lodge elemental rituals’ and the ways of walking the map of the medicine wheel. She believes in every person’s capacity to let go of the pain of not belonging or the stories of not good enough so that the gateway to a life filled with joy and purpose becomes a reality.
